.CA Members to Show Support for Election Nominees.

Ottawa, August 23, 2012 – Members of the .CA community can begin to show their support today for nominees in the Canadian Internet Registration Authority's (CIRA) 2012 Board of Directors election. The Show of Support period starts today at noon ET and ends at 6 p.m. ET on September 6, 2012.

.CA Members play a valuable role in contributing to CIRA's corporate strategic direction by directly participating in governance activities such as Board of Director elections. This is an opportunity for .CA Members to take a leadership role in the development of the Internet to ensure it continues to be an open and accessible public resource.

Showing Support for Election Nominees

Each Member nominee must obtain the support of at least 20 .CA Members to be listed on the final election ballot. To show support, Members must complete a brief online Show of Support form. Members can learn more about each Member nominee by reading their Statements.

The final slate of Candidates will be published on CIRA's Election website on September 10, 2012. The final vote will take place online from noon (12 p.m.) ET on September 19 to noon (12 p.m.) ET on September 26, 2012.
