In addition to an exciting lineup of industry-leading keynote speakers, CIRA presents its accomplishments from the past year, industry developments and statistics, future plans, audited financial statements and the auditor’s report to its membership.

  1. You’ll have a chance to see high profile Canadian speakers, including keynote speaker Sue Gardner.

     

    Sue Gardner is one of Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women in the World and former executive director of the Wikimedia Foundation and CBC’s website and online news outlets.

    Other items on the agenda include Andy Forest of SteamLabs, who will provide the lunch keynote, CIRA President and CEO Byron Holland will provide his insights, and we have an expert panel lined up to discuss the future of the Internet in Canada. 

  2. It’s easy to attend- at the Allstream Centre in Toronto – or by Webcast.

    To ensure that everyone interested can attend the event, we have made it free of charge. Even parking is included for 100 lucky Members (offered on a first-come, first-served basis).

    If you can’t make it to Toronto, the entire event will be accessible by webcast. Advanced registration is required.

  3. You’ll have the opportunity to play a role in CIRA’s governance.

    Participating in the annual general meeting is an important way to get involved in an organization that now, more than ever, represents Canadians – and Canadian values – online. CIRA Members play an integral role in CIRA’s governance.

    Please note: As per the Canada Not-for-Profit Corporations Act and CIRA’s By-law, in order to participate as a voting Member in the Annual General Meeting (AGM) either online or in-person, you must have been a CIRA Member at least 21 days prior to the AGM (specifically, by end of day September 1, 2016) and continue to be a Member at the start of the AGM.

  4. It will be a great networking opportunity.

    This event is a great way to meet other CIRA Members interested in the Canadian Internet, just like you. Our Members are all .CA domain name holders that come from across Canada to participate in the shaping of the future of the Canadian Internet. Connect with entrepreneurs, small business owners and Internet enthusiasts in your community.

    You will have the opportunity to network during the reception at the end of the day.

  5. You’ll be able to discuss the exciting developments in the ever-changing internet.

    The day will be full of exclusive learning opportunities on key digital-related topics, an insider view of CIRA’s recent activities, and insight into the future of the Internet in Canada.
