Ottawa, ON – July 21, 2016 – The Canadian Internet Registration Authority's (CIRA) nomination committee has selected six candidates from across Canada with a broad mix of experience and qualifications necessary for the management of the .CA domain. CIRA Members who wish to apply for the Members’ slate of candidates can apply from 2 p.m. ET on July 28, 2016 to 2 p.m. ET on August 11, 2016 at https://cira.ca/election.
This will be followed by a show of support period starting August 25, 2016 and ending on September 8, 2016. The board of directors’ election vote runs from September 22, 2016 until September 29, 2016.
To be eligible to vote, .CA holders must be Members before the end of the day on September 1, 2016 (21 days before the start of the voting period), and remain an active Member at the time they cast their vote.
