THE PROJECT
Black Boys Code is a non-profit with a mission to improve the future of Black youth through education in computer science and technology. They developed an open-source learning management system (LMS) to help integrate a blended model of teaching and learning that supports their goal of providing an inclusive learning environment to children of colour.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
The LMS offered a way for children to develop skills in digital literacy, computer coding, social collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving, and it allowed Black Boys Code to scale their programming beyond the walls of the traditional classroom to reach more children.
