The impact of new technologies on the courts and those who are subject to their jurisdiction

The CIRA grant helped the Civil Law Section at the University of Ottawa identify and understand the impact of new technologies on the courts and litigants. The research focuses on transparency (access to justice and respect for privacy), social networking, and independent research by judges and the use of “cyber sources.”
