The CIRA grant helped the Nova Scotia Community Access Program deliver orientation, training and support to senior citizens in the use of mobile devices and technology. The workshops ensured participants could easily discover and make use of online information and communication technology through mobile technologies. By using the existing NSCAP network, this program was made available to the 167,000 Nova Scotians aged 65 and over through 50 community-based sites.
