THE PROJECT
Lab-Delta is a research and action laboratory with the objective to produce research and tools at the intersection of technology, political activism, and critical thinking. The aim of this project, in partnership with Alternatives and the University of Montreal, was to study the community engagement strategies of French-speaking Canadians on issues related to internet governance and their associated human rights.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
This project engaged Francophone students and young adults on the topics of digital policy and governance with webinars, podcasts, and other awareness-raising activities. The research highlighted the concerns of youth regarding the human rights implications of data surveillance and the racial and gender inequalities that persist in the digital sphere.
