THE PROJECT
Ready to Rent BC, now defunct, was dedicated to increasing housing stability and preventing homelessness with their RentSmart program, which combined education and support to help vulnerable populations remove barriers to housing and stay housed. With CIRA funding they developed an online platform to host resource toolkits and training for RentSmart, resulting in a more centralized, affordable, and accessible support hub.
COMMUNITY IMPACT
It succeeded in spreading RentSmart to new rural and remote communities, and within the first year over 1000 people accessed the newly available online resources.
