Énonce du (de la) candidat(e) :
I currently hold the role of President & CEO of the ENWIN Group of Companies, Windsor's local electricity and water distribution companies.
My contributions to the board of CIRA will be drawn from my extensive governance experience in the utility, municipal, university and school board sectors. In addition to my employment role in utilities, I am a member of the Board of Directors of Transform SSO. This company provides efficient technology, project management and procurement services to the five area hospitals in the Erie St. Clair geographical area. I also sit on the Board of Governors of the University of Windsor, where I am chair of the Audit Committee and Pension Committee. I was formerly HR Manager and Controller for our local school board as well as having held the past role of Chief Administrative Office for the City of Windsor. My experience spanning the entire MUSH (Municipalities, Universities, School Boards, hospitals), combined with my ICD.D (institute of Corporate Directors) education and designation, have equipped me to exercise my duties as a board member with integrity and diligence.
As a chartered professional accountant (FCPA, FCA), I am qualified to be a member of and/or chair the audit committee of CIRA. I am proud to have been awarded the honour of becoming a Fellow of the CPA association in 2018 as a result of the work described above and other volunteer and community work over a number of years. I will bring this diligence and dedication to the role of Director of CIRA.
I have a passion for the internet as a user, and have experienced success and failure in use, both in personal and professional uses. I am eager to expand my knowledge of technology and the internet while contributing to the Board based on my professional experience and background.
I sincerely hope for positive consideration by the nominating committee and membership.
