Cutting-edge technology portfolio and culture of innovation secures CIRA status as employer of choice

Ottawa, ON – February 4, 2016 – Today the editors of Canada’s Top 100 Employers announced the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA), operators of the .CA domain, has been ranked as a top employer in Ottawa for a second year.  With 80+ employees located at Lansdowne Park in Ottawa, CIRA runs one of the fastest growing country code top-level domains globally.

“Innovation is part of our DNA at CIRA,” said Byron Holland, President and CEO of CIRA. “That’s true not only for how we meet the unique challenges of our work at the core of the Internet in Canada, but also in how we approach building our high-performing team in Ottawa. From an atmosphere that inspires creative thinking to our one-of-a-kind corporate culture, CIRA consistently delivers great work while having some fun along the way.”

This recognition builds on a legacy of excellence. This is the second year CIRA has been ranked in this top employers list. CIRA has also been recognized for the past two years by AON Hewitt in their prestigious Best Small and Medium Employers in Canada Study, this year placing CIRA in their Platinum category.  This recognition is based on an in-depth study of employee and leader opinions, comprehensive external benchmarking, and Aon Hewitt’s extensive experience in HR consulting.
