Vote to elect new CIRA board directors

Toronto, September 22, 2016 – Members of the CIRA community will begin casting their votes today for candidates in the Canadian Internet Registration Authority's (CIRA) 2016 Board of Directors Election. The vote period starts today at 3 p.m. ET and ends at 3 p.m. ET on September 29, 2016.

CIRA Members play an important role in choosing the leadership that will guide CIRA through the next three years of its mandate.

.KIWI turns to CIRA for new back-end registry platform

Ottawa, ON – September 22 – Dot Kiwi Limited announced that it has selected CIRA's Fury Registry Platform as the new back-end registry for the New Zealand based gTLD .KIWI, announced that it has selected the Canadian Internet Registration Authroity. (CIRA) to provide back-end registry services.

The Show of Support period begins today at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time and closes at 2:00 p.m. Eastern Time on September 8, 2016.

Canadian researchers breaking down barriers for people living with vision loss

Montréal, QC – August 3, 2016 – Researchers at McGill University have developed an innovative technology so Canadians living with vision loss can better navigate the world around them. 
After successfully testing its Autour application in Montréal, and with funding from the Canadian Internet Registration Authority’s Community Investment Program, the McGill team has launched an expanded version of the app to include cities across Canada.
