Internet Governance Forum gets boost from .CA

The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) today announced that it had completed a contribution agreement with the Internet Governance Forum Support Association (IGFSA), providing the necessary resources to address emerging issues in Internet governance.

Brandon Gray Internet Services Inc. no longer a CIRA Certified Registrar

This is to advise that Brandon Gray Internet Services Inc. is no longer a CIRA Certified Registrar.

In order for Brandon Gray Internet Service Inc.’s .CA Registrants to maintain their .CA domain name(s), Registrants will be responsible for transferring their domain name registration(s) to a new CIRA Certified Registrar of their choice.  All affected Registrants have been informed by CIRA of this development.

CIRA Successfully Runs TBR Session with Over 32,000 .CA Domain Names

Ottawa, December 1, 2010 – CIRA is pleased to announce the successful completion of an extremely large To Be Released (TBR) session where over 32,000 .CA domain names were released and available for registration.

This was the first session of TBR held since CIRA’s launch of the new .CA registry system on October 12, 2010, which simplified the process to register and manage .CA domain names.
